The Wearable Electronics Application and Research Lab (WEAR Lab) at the NASA Johnson Space Center has been able to create and certify wearable carbon dioxide sensor for astronauts by leveraging commercial sensors and solutions, such as Bluetooth Low Energy system on chips. The WEAR Lab is currently developing new wearables and is looking forward to implementing new features in Bluetooth 5 - such as increased range or speed, angle of arrival data, and mesh networking - in our products.
